that's cuz they wanna give everyone attention so bad, it destroys the pacing and importance of fights. it also makes powerfull enemies into comedic relief just for shits and giggles. like with franky and chopper VS big mom. that was just ridiculous.

Because that's how storytelling works.

Good storytelling is how Oda and Toei got you to watch 1041+ episodes without question.

If we just saw the full fights we'd get bored of it.

Humans want what they can't have. As soon as we get what we wanted, it fades out. That's what makes good stories interesting; There's always setup and rising action to get to the climax.

its because they want the audience to feel like its all happening at the same time, but i agree it ruins pacing, they did the same thing with dragonball super, probably why they were hired after that show, because they can juggle 20 characters at once.
